Not enjoyable at all! I wish they would make inspired movies like puss in boots the last wish instead of these lifeless cash grab movie that are so colorful you will go blind.

Everyone needs to see this film. We can be the greater force against evil if everyone rises up against this. God's children are not for sale.

Ok listen, I love Mario so this isn't just me hating on the franchise or anything. The fact that i love the franchise so much is probably why i am giving this a low rating. The biggest problem was that the characters weren't true to their canonical personality in the videogames. Toad was always afraid, peach was a damsel in distress, and Mario and Luigi were valient heros, not some musky guys who seemed so limited in so many ways. They should have kept the original characters and made a story that worked around them. It could have been great to stick to a traditional story. Also really? A human universe tied in to this movie? Alongside being completely unecessary, it made Mario seem like he didn't belong in the videogame universe. It took away so much from what could have been a bolder plot solely within the videogame universe. I mean, the whole movie is supposed to be ABOUT that. They could have spent more time adding more meaningful elements like yoshi, better story elements, and more character development. The music. Good grief. Why was there so much random music from the 80s? It was, unecessary as best but completely out of place. The movie was not well paced at all. There was different scene about every minute on average. It seemed less about the story developing naturally, and more about pushing it through steps. An extra 10 minutes would have been great, and -15 in the human world. That's 25 more minutes of content, and character development. Bowser was ok though, and so was donkey Kong. They were quite canonical. Oh well, this movie isn't what i would have hoped for in a Mario movie. It was a let down, I wish that it had just been in the Mario universe.

Incredible movie. I cannot believe I lived my life without this film. It is April 9th 2023, meaning this film has exisated for 37 years.

I have been watching this movie in multiple 10 minute sittings to practice the virtue of endurance. I still have not finished and don't think i will.

Words cannot describe how amazing this movie was. That is all. But it would be a crime not to try! This movie was the best movie my eyes have witnessed in my life. Each character was legendary. The story was amazing. The animation was otherworldly. I was right, words aren't enough.

I thought it was great for a kids movie!

Me and my sister watched this and genuinely thought some scenes were supposed to be Mei Mei's chaotically bad dreams. Mom was over-controlling but Mei Mei was also engaging in behaviors any parent would find concerning. The whole movie was Mom vs. Daughter which seriously pained me to watch because I saw the same dynamic happen in my own family and it did NOT end well. This movie left me feeling so depressed. I foresee a bunch of kids watching this movie and getting the idea that any form of discipline their parents give them is wrong and restrictive. Kids, your parents know what's best in terms of major life decision you may want to make. Parents, you can guide your kids to making good decisions and give them space at the same time.
