Effell “Effell” MYOB

Outstanding use of colour and impeccable photo direction alone makes this a must see film. And you can add to that subdued direction and restraint acting by all the leading characters and you have an outstanding movie

Style over-rides content, continuity and storyline in this self conscious waste of talent.

Great adaptation of original novel by H G Wells. All characters of the novel are here, but brought up to date. The only criticism that has any validity is the unnecessary inclusion of the character of the son which seems superfluous to the story line. The character of the daughter though does add a certain urgency to the proceedings. All in all, very much worth watching.
