Bollywood hotchpotch of 100 different themes. In the end the protagonist confronts his dad and convinces him that he didn't receive any fatherly affection growing up as a child. If he had done it early in the movie, it could've saved 3.5 hours of your time. The movie is proof that bollywood can only play catchup to other south Indian and hollywood movies, as original ideas died 20 years ago.
It's a 'wanna-be' movie for an angry teenager with daddy issues which sadly drains you of any hope that the plot will get better.
The movie is about how an angry teenager imagines himself confronting his dad with hurtful dialogue that would leave their dad's mouth shut and ask for forgiveness. So if you're impressed by this film, then you should introspect, lol.
