This movie portrays an autistic child as a disengaged feral being played by an actress who isn't autistic. I'm an autistic nanny who works with autistic children. This is not only unrealistic but DISGUSTINGLY offensive. I know this movie is almost a decade old but dear lord stop infantizing autistic people. Please don't think this is an accurate portrayal of what it is like working with autistic children or what it means to be autistic.
