I've played all of the previous CallofDuty games and after putting in about 10 hours on #Vanguard (on current gen console) have found it to be the most chaotic multiplayer of any CoD game so far. Every match on any mode (on any combat pacing) feels like playing Shipment map on hardcore. I'm fairly sure this is due to fundamental problems with the gameplay mechanics too unfortunately. TTK is so short. Players seem to be able to easily get elims at distance with any weapon and often through walls. Seems there is a perk to see through walls and many of the walls are now breakable. Seeing many matches where players are achieving generally very high elim counts (70+) even on the larger maps. Such high elim counts would usually have been in the smaller 'fish in a barrel' type of maps like Nuketown, Shipment or Shoothouse etc. Spawns are awful. Everyone is spawning everywhere and enemy footsteps are barely audible compared to previous CoD games. Something just seems very wrong in this one. Needs a patch update asap or perhaps a re-write. On a positive note it's nice seeing the reworked maps Dome and Castle from World at War!

Playing matches as Nadal was fun, but starting career mode on default amateur difficultly is incredibly frustrating. I'm frequently playing upwards of 30 shot rallies with opponents, varying my shots with groundstrokes, topspin, slice... hitting deep and pushing the opponent across the full court like you see in a real match. The frustrating bit is for amateur level the opponents almost never hit any unforced errors. Invariably due to the crazy long rallies it's me that eventually errors (possibly due to boredom/frustration level). There's like 6 other difficulty levels above amateur so they must be absolute pain. The control mechanism in AO Tennis works and feels OK when you get used to it, but due to the unfair Ai difficulty the game is just not fun. I really miss Top Spin an Virtual Tennis as those games were properly good fun and not a chore like AO quickly becomes.
