I absolutely love Jennifer Hudson as a singer and actress. Sadly I did not enjoy this movie :( I felt this was not a good representation of Arethas real life story. It skipped over important moments in her life; (tragic and victorious) and those life changing moments they did share were played down and had no spark, plain boring. When she was raped and impregnated as a child the movie did not help the audience to deeply feel her pain in that moment. This movie did not bring high honor to the Queen of Soul
