Dead Pool an experience of immersion in the concept that there is a Multiverse comprising multiple dimensions in which different versions of the same person exist in parallel. Somehow my wife and I missed the point of the humor in the onslaught of gratuitous Marvel comic book violence on the big screen … nice effects but not special … lots of “fuck” and lingo such as “fuck fuck fuck” … references to gay pegging … for the creative dialogue. After the movie, our adult children were singing the praises of the lack of a plot. There have been two previous Dead Pool movies - we didn’t see them and were not aware that they had a cultish following. Dead Pool must have a strong following because some in the audience were laughing occasionally … or maybe this is how we find out that we’re no longer in the hip generation …
