Great movie of a Young inexperienced single father trying to raise a baby girl into a respectable young lady. At the same time he tries to cope with the loss of his wife after she dies when a blood clot travels to her lung after she gave birth and everything that comes along with being a parent for the first time. As well as the grandparents, family and friends thinking he's not ready to be a father with everything he's been put through as it all weighs heavy burden on him. Anyway, it's a good movie that reminds me of my daughter and I. Though her mother didn't pass away after giving birth, I still feel the resemblance in not having the other parent around. When my daughter's mother left before us after she was only a few months old I had a hard time being able to cope with her not being there and me only being 19 close to 20 and raising a daughter on my own. The difference is he was able to have his or her parents help which in my case I didn't receive any help from my mom or dad will I didn't grow up my dad so I never expected that but my mom was very upset that I was having a kid at the age of 19 so instead of helping me she made me learn the hard way so I had to figure out how to become a man and raise a daughter on my own along with trying to find a way how to pay for everything which reluctantly I did. Though the story and mines are different I can still feel the similarities of what Kevin Hart's character is going through in the movie. As I tried to find a mother figure in real life for my daughter I felt like I failed her miserably for personal reasons because it didn't end up working out with the person I had chosen. seems to me that I was looking more for a mother figure for my daughter then someone that I was happy with as well. The movie touches on many different things that I could relate to so for me I could definitely relate but even if you have no children or a partner it is still a great movie to check out. It's funny, heartbreaking and heart warming all at the same time. I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone.
