A fresh take. I'm glad they are using the source material as a jumping off place for something new; i didn't need s third version of the original as much as i love it! Cameos are great, like an anime in style and the story feel is very playful. Not what i expected at all. Love the Easter eggs and references dropped, surely on rewatch there'll be even more!
