Our infant granddaughter has been enraptured by this clever adaptation of globally relevant songs within softly moving cartoons of little children her entire life of 7 months. No other productions are needed. This child responds to each piece of music or poetry recognizing favorites at certain times of day - lullabys with nap time, good night songs with mommy and daddy as they tuck her in, and Count Basie in the daytime during which she kicks her legs with glee. When the actual children speak she’s mesmerized and smiles as they speak. I find myself humming and singing the sweet songs even when by myself. A must see for everyone with children in their lives.

No acting. No script. No sense. I enjoy foreign stories but this is so very uninterestingly lame I had to read the synopsis overview from several websites to help me understand why I should waste time watching it to the end. Ms Jones seems to pick terribly one dimensional roles …. this is no different. Pretty awful for a fabulous setting.

I love Sam Rockwell. Watching him helped me keep watching the movie. Interesting premise, good action scenes, good cast with the exception of Bryce Dallas who was totally unbelievable in the spy role. The first half was good but the last half was just wacky.

Deliciously creepy. Acting is stellar. Film noir best I’ve seen since Hitchcock.

Crazy good acting, twists, plus occasional comedic situations amidst fabulous writing. Excellent show.

Lousy casting of prominent actors in the wrong roles. Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad’s Jesse Pinkman) as Joshua??? Christian Bales (Batman) as the great prophet Moses??? Sigourney Weaver (Ripley from Alien)??? Come on, Ridley Scott!! God depicted as a child? The real biblical account is excitingly told, expertly explained in terms of Divine detail that simpletons miss! Read the Exodus for yourself; know that it all DID happen the way it’s told and be amazed! Don’t worry that Wiki , etc, says there is no proof of Moses. Iranian and Iraqi historical statues and records have been removed the past decade by radicals just as have monuments about Christopher Columbus, the Confederacy and library books in the United States. History is political. The Egyptians would remove any references to Moses and the real Supreme God that was victorious over Pharaoh and Egypt.

Admittedly, I only watched the first episode since it was free. Slow, uninteresting characters, nothing clever, felt like Bob was simply reading the script. Not interesting enough to pay for a subscription to AMC.

I was expecting something silly, as I’d heard the reviews were negative. But I totally loved the story and characters. Hong Chau made me cry with her performance. Scenes were beautifully photographed. Music was very good. And in the 5 years since the movie came out, climate and war and human population has taken its toll on the planet. I recommend this movie highly. It is touching.

Long, too long, way too long. Despite two good actors having the lead roles as an elderly couple, this program gave me the desire to fast forward through each episode…but I dutifully plodded through til the anticlimactic end. There was no need for 3/4 of the characters nor the script as it was. It could have been, possibly, a 90 minute feature film with lots of determined editing. And the budget could have been hacked by thousands of $$. This long drawn out story kind of reminds me of Outer Ranger, another quasi spiritual boring nonsensical production. These two programs represent a new Hollywood wishing to bore us instead of using artistic writing, composition and forethought. Don’t waste your time.
