I hate this movie, they killed the dog. It could have been a great slasher film, but then they killed the dog.

This movie changed my life 10/10

I f*ing passed myself 9/10 best horror movie in years.

I'm not sure that the people writing these 5 star reviews watched the same movie as me, the CGI is some of the worst I've seen from any major motion picture. The movie itself is bloated, and way too long without actually adding anything substantial to the plot of the original. They tried to make the ocean more realistic looking; however it now just seems drab and depressing, nothing like the vibrant colors of the original, the mermaids all move super stiffly like they are just learning how to swim properly; however, Ursula is still just as fun and mischievous as the original, and dare I say, I prefer this rendition of "Poor Unfortunate Souls" to the original. Overall, this movie is great for little kids; however, parents will find themselves wanting to leave the theatre in pain. Just watch the original.
