This movie has stuck with me throughout my whole life. I remember the first time watching it as a child as young as 6. Although I didn't understand it at all (especially the inappropriate scenes) I still loved it so much. As I watch it on and off throughout the years I would always gain more insight and understand it more emotionally. Today I watched it as if it were my first time and I forgot how phenomenal it is, with the story, the characters, and the whole meaning behind it: Forrest was the safety nest for Jenny; the broken, wild bird. He risked everything, and went out of his way to protect her from all harm even when she thought he was being stupid, and just didn't understand how much he truly meant to her until the very end. . It truly is a mastpiece
