I know a lot of people like this, but I was disappointed. While it was a new story and one we had not heard of, I kept waiting to some reference in time to the opening scene, and there never was one. I couldn't figure out the sequence of some of the events due to the opening scene. It may have had a little humor in it, but not as much as I expected. While there was satisfaction of seeing nazis being blown up and I never tire of that, what I left with was disturbing imagery of a dead naked woman. I compared the violence level to a Quentin Tarantino movie (which usually has more humor) and it wasn't far from equal. It's not quite what I expected. I can't say I recommend it.

This show is a bit of a disappointment. Although the story itself is highly predictable, the biggest problem with it is that the acting talent is uneven. We get good performances out of Ian McShane and Tom Hollander, but some of the other actors way overact their parts and what stands out is Lewis who overacts drunkenness to the point that I am watching an actor pretend he is drunk instead of a character being drunk. Many of the young women just overact their parts ridiculously while the older women are much better and convincing. I am giving this a 3 star because the acting is not what I would expect from Julian Fellows production.
