This is very much still a social/psychological commentary like the first Joker movie. Unlike the first one though it is very easy to see what is in Arthurโs head and what is real.
Joker: Folie ร Deux is a musical court room drama that presents the truth about Arther Fleckโs life to the detriment of his mental health. The musical numbers in the film act as a coping mechanism for him as the truth tears away at his perception of reality.
