Amazing writing and characters. However overstayed way past its welcome, it had zero reason to be 600 pages long. The best part of a mystery novel is its ending, but I gave up several times in the boring drudgery in the middle where nothing is happening. The ending made it all worth it, but again it should've been like 400 pages
