The whole concept is far too laboratory. I don't know how this guy can lend himself to wasting so much of his and other people's lives. Most country people are the real deal and he brings these people onto this contrived set to turn it into something. After watching it, I have gained nothing worthwhile, just like many other shows on SBS. I'm still to understand the angle behind a lot of SBS stuff. Generally, I find their shows quite dark and depressing, although some of the UK cooking shows are quite good such as Rick Stein...thank God for these...
