I understand not wanting to completely go alongside the same path as the source. But I'll never understand why you would actively change every aspect of it aside from names and characters. Why not put this effort into a new original series instead of corrupting an existing story? It's a shame to because I can see the talent. But I'm overshadowed with how much frustration I get from seeing something I enjoyed so much get wasted like this.
