MINOR SPOILERS! It is a love hate relationship with this show. I love the characters, combat and story but there are some main issues I have with the show. First off each character has a a special weapon with a special ability, but sometimes in the fights they just don’t follow the rules they stated of what the weapon can and cannot do. Second is killing off almost everyone in the show. The first few made some sense to give a tone for show but the ones near the end felt like they just died so the viewer could be sad. Eventually I just started guessing who is going to die next. Another problem I have is that the story felt like it was set up to give you a question of morality type of thing. Since the main characters are assassins they tried to make you think are they doing the right thing. But the villains are so crazy and downright evil (except for like 3) that you literally have no choice but to support the main characters. Also there are some scenes of the villains just hanging out in their hideout and sometimes the story actually tries to make you feel bad for them. It never works no matter how sad their past was cause they literally just chopped 20 people in half for no reason. This last point is just a personal pet peeve of mine but I HATE when shows have 2 main characters. Sometimes it works out fine or requires the plot to have 2 but most of the time it just doesn’t work. This show is a good example of how it didn’t work. This show focuses all of its attention to one main character even though there are 2 and only starts to pay attention to the other main character at the LAST episode. This is why I don’t like when there are 2 because one feels like the actual main character were the other feels like a glorified side character. This show does have its problems but I felt that there was more good than bad. The animation is very good and every character feels unique. I also love the character interactions, most of the time it’s pretty funny and just entertaining to watch. In conclusion it is a great first time watch and keeps you hooked from episode 1 and beyond. I would not watch this if you are sensitive or get sad easily.

To put it short it gets really boring after a few hours. The combo system is broken and the controls aren’t explained very well. The loading screens take forever to load. The bosses at the end of the chapters in story mode are way to difficult. It’s like they took the max difficulty cpu and then buffed 10x. For example one of Blackbeard’s punches carved off half of my health bar while my ultimate ability only damaged a fifth of his. Blocking is broken because it’s hard to tell when the enemy is doing so. When you miss the first grapple the enemy dodges the second one(not to mention that the grapple has the length of .01 cm). The custom character that the game has you make doesn’t have enough customization and when I chose the swordsman class for my character he didn’t have a sword. The clothes are very basic and you can’t make different color combinations of them. Some characters are to op like Ichigo and Kakashi. There is barely any voice acting and the cinematic are very clunky. When there is dialogue don’t expect the word to march up with the mouth. The only good thing about this game is the character variety from different shows but other than that this game is a waste of time.
