This movie is a great example of the adult children that I know too well. Running away from problems, toxic masculinity, impulsivity, jealousy, and handling all these emotions in so many immature ways. I think it's irresponsible to have this move exemplify such an idealistic version of what life "should be like" for coming out of high school.
I get it, I know the tone of the movie, teen romance, but why does teen romance have to look like this? Why can't we show our youth real relationships, artistic expression, and set an example of a more viable and realistic scenario for being this age.
I despise the precedent this movie sets. All of the things they go through in the interpersonal relationships with each-other and the way they handle them are incredibly immature and not at all how a 19-20 year old should be acting.
Also, why the hell is this movie so fast paced? I dont have any time to breathe in between scenes.
