Was I the only one who went back to watch the very beginning to make sense of the ending?
Scene 1 shows dad almost drowning, crawling out of the lake, mad and very upset.
Final scene shows dad and son taking off across the lake in a boat, talking about a euphoric feeling.
Did dad kill his son to prevent more pain in his life or what?
