I was VERY excited to read this but now that I’ve finished it, not so much. The book starts off very strong, you feel the main character and want to root for her. After awhile though, it kinda falls flat. The world becomes ginormous as the main character occupies space that I wouldn’t have guessed even existed. As for the romance, you want to root for her love and happiness, but at some point it feels like it just overrides the original plot. There were also some parts that definitely seemed like they belonged in an alternate universe fanfic than in the book. Finally, the ending was a bit messy and introduced way too many things that again, you would think belong in a fanfic and not the actual story. Overall though, the book is very unique and definitely very refreshing. The main character had me rolling around my bed screaming in gay panic for days 👍🏽

It's Sierra Burgess (with a hint of To All the Boys...) but 120% gayer, less creepy and 30% less dramatic. To put it simply, what happens is what the gays want. It's a fun movie BUT the biggest issue is all the cliches. The whole asian girl who gets good grades is kinda old. HOWEVER, I do really like Ellie. Just like most of the characters, likeable, but kind of cliche. It's one of those movies that you watch for the laughs...and gay stuff, of course. I would definitely recommend watching it. Enjoy it, don't think too hard about it!
