What I liked:
1. Kriti's beauty dominates the movie.
2. War sequences, strategy scenes are good. First time some details in the war strategy in Mughal era has been shared in Indian cinema.
3. Operation of cannons is thrilling.
4. Costumes are amazing and truly demonstrate the warriers
5. Jamuna river shown clearly proves why it was difficult to cross it.
6. Average actor like Sanjay Datt has done much better job here. Although he will get compared with Ranvir Singh of Padmawat and Ranvir will win big time.
7. Good message on Indians don't unite, etc.
8. The allies kings are impressive. They look matured unlike Maratha sardars.
9. Many of the smaller details of the history are shown properly. Biggest plus.
*Now what I did not like:*
1. Arjun Kapoor is bad choice as a warrior. He appears as if he will start weeping anytime.
2. His dialogue delivery is average.
3. The heat of the war had just started building up and a Bollywood song starts. Why? Why?
4. When Marathas reach Delhi, they just assume Abdali isn't aware of it or will keep quiet ( unlikely mistake by great strategists ) and start dancing again. Another Bollywood song. The credit of this mistake goes to Gowarikar not Marathas.
5. The Maratha sardars were truly great. Otherwise they wouldn't have concurred pretty much entire India. But they appear jokers in the movie. Before the big are 5 properly introduced, they start singing and dancing. Milind Gunaji is wasted.
7. The first glimpses of Shaniwar wada and other forts clearly show that they are made up of card boards. Bad job by Gowarikar.
8. During the final battle, the ladies are moved to a safer hill which is smaller that the one near Pashan Sus road.
Even though some cinematic liberty is permitted like songs, etc, there are illogical mistakes.
But overall, i enjoyed the movie and will watch again on Netflix, coming soon.
