Routine C- grade Hollywood pulp. Fine for pandemic watching streamed via Netflix but not worth paying for in theaters (which now are fortunately closed).

OK action + typical Soderbergh casting = a watchable flick, even though like The Usual Suspects we’re not the only ones who must wonder what it’s all about.

As a senior, I’m late for Glee but inspired by its cast and upbeat tempo! *****

A pale imitation of past Japanese films that minimize dialogue, but the F-word is given far too much attention here. The script needs a lot of tightening so the dialogue can be more creative and revealing.

Slow, depressing, lacks verve, has no McGuffin, shallow characters, no punch, nothing to root for. It’s a shame Clooney had to waste his exceptional talents on such a lifeless story. Who cares?

Believable futuristic comic book actione strongly enhanced by a pair of A-list actors, Jamie Fox and Joe Gordon-Levitt.

Bad Moms was cute and predictably bubbly, but Bad Moms2 is a reminder that not all franchises are worth another shot. The Bourne series is a great example of what we get when you mix a terrific actor with a hyper creative director. Bad Moms 2 is like a fire cracker with a dud fuse.

Ben Cumberbatch is always a delight. His YouTube reading of a letter from the then-young Tom Hanks to George Roy Hill, who directed The Sting, is side-splittingly hilarious! But I digress...

Superb acting by Sir Ben and a high-octane performance by the newcomer from Iceland who helps carry the story as The Maid. You know it’s not Made in Hollywood because of the missing violence, explosions and one-syllable words in the script. Kudos to Netflix for streaming it, otherwise we coddled Americans would not have had a chance to watch it. A gritty, realistic look and feel of real life in Eastern Europe, with all its dusty flaws and foibles.

Outstanding cast, true to life characters, superbly acted by Damon and Bale.
