Love it. Feels like a less hopeless version of Fallout 4. It’s beautiful, engaging, and captivating while still having the familiar feeling of a Bethesda game (which I personally like but know some may not).
Now for my complaints:
1. It is SO vast that it can feel overwhelming, in terms of the map, game play, weapons, ships, etc.
2. Not having a city map for such large cities seems like an oversight. While you will eventually figure things out once you spend enough time exploring, it once again feels a bit overwhelming in the beginning.
3. Designing and piloting the ships could be more intuitive
4. Lots of the planets are simply barren and not interesting to explore, or begin to feel tedious when searching entire systems for small things. I understand this is more realistic, but video games don’t need to be wholly realistic
Overall, I love it. I see myself coming back to this game over and over, like Skyrim and Fallout. It’s not mind blowing or world-shifting, but it really is enjoyable and a great game
