Author’s obsession with his health is almost religious in character. This is a form of narcissism that is increasingly apparent among upper income individuals who , like Ponce de Leon, are searching for the fountain of youth. I doubt if the author has the time for such activities as a round of golf with the boys, participation in his local service club, a few hours in front of the television. Yes, healthy life habits are prudent, but this level of commitment is unrealistic and not “healthy”.
