It started out with a very interesting premise and I enjoyed reading from a perspective I don’t normally read from. However around the halfway mark I started asking myself when the actual story was going to start. Overall it just felt like a big wild goose chase that ended exactly where I expected it to end after I read the first couple pages. In addition, for a horror story being told from the eyes of a Child I feel like it fell very flat when it had massive potential to be genuinely scary. I read this book during the day and I read this book at night and I didn’t feel scared regardless of the setting I read it in.
In conclusion it was a fine book, mainly because it came from an interesting perspective, but in terms of the actual events of the story, it wasn’t anything I hadn’t seen before.
