I found Miasmata to be a thoroughly enjoyable survival game. Difficult, especially at first, but not frustratingly hard. You are rewarded throughout as your progress enables you to uncover more of the beautiful and realistically rendered surroundings, coupled with natural sounds that make for an immersive experience. Occasional background music is pleasant and not intrusive. The long distance triangulation system was a novel and addictive addition, easy and rewarding to use. The game demonstrates how the more you accomplish, the more you CAN accomplish.
Upon finishing the game, I found myself months later longing to walk again along its varied paths - a place that had become hauntingly familiar.
For me, for this genre, I give it a 9/10.
