Joe del Gaudio

One of those movies that you watch only once and then forget about. Script goes through the motions of the novel without achieving a life of its own. Build-up of the hero feels just like a thousand other movies. Characters lack depth, and one leaves the movie without any emotions. Visually stunning though and, in the moment, enjoyable. It’s the work of a scholar and not that of a genius.
