Good entertainment value violence. Dont expect logic as with many action movies where the guys fly when the hero hits them or his gun never runs out of bullets.
The movie progressed quickly from scene to scene but few scenes were left incomplete. I must watch it again just to join the dots. The story was basic, deprived son in awe of his dad but the dad appreciated the son-in-law more. That didn’t make sense because Ranbhir was just protecting his family. It was a classic “badla” revenge movie and was left open for a sequel or 4 which I will watch just for kicks. I didn’t like the poor treatment of women in some scenes, it was over the top albeit a true representation of what goes on in many homes, rich or not.
The dialogues were realistic of family spats and sends you on an emotional rollercoaster trying to empathise or align with characters which was refreshing because these days, the views of minorities are shoved down our throats. This movie doesn’t try to promote the “in thing” agenda, it is a simple story with expected outcomes. The villain and hero are equal winners all the while entertaining us. Bobby Deol role was superb, pity he died and again, he was just protecting HIS family. The Kane Abel story is hectic and leaves a message of don’t mess with the Sardarji’s. The classic story of “once the sword is drawn, it must see blood”.
I was confused at one point when Bobby and Ranbhir met to fight and someone said that “aurath had twins” who were the twins? Rambhir n Bobby or Ranbhir & Aziz?
If so, why didn’t Anil Kapoor or his wife say anything at the beginning?
We know that it was physically possible to have body doubles in the movie plot because they said so but Zoya said that Abrar made a Ranbhir duplicate to kill Anil, that confused me. I guess we will see in part two.
Overall a good movie.
Whole lot of chopping going on, reminded me of Bushknife Bobby in Chatsworth.
