I am enjoying it. The storyline of Mary and John is different to what we was told in supernatural. I have a theory this is because Dean went back in the past and gave John a letter from John dad, That led him to finding out about the supernatural world as a demon goes after John because of him having that letter but Mary comes and saves John tells him about the supernatural world. I think the storyline doesn’t change in supernatural because both Mary and John still stop hunting before sam and dean are born. Mary still dies. The only difference is their dad John knew about the supernatural world before Mary dies.
