A masterclass in building tension episode by episode, with some phenomenal acting (by Freeman and Finan in particular). It's certainly not a perfect show, but it's effectiveness as a gripping thriller made it a five star watch for me. It also has some surprisingly funny moments of dark comedy through some of the absurd situations the patrol finds themselves dealing with over the course of their night shifts. I'm hoping we see more of these characters in future seasons.

Absolutely loved the experience of watching the first season. It's not the easiest show to get into because it is a show that is rather disorienting (on purpose, I believe). Also, it initially feels like it has LOST-syndrome, where it seems like it's posing a lot of questions that never gets answered just for the sake of being ~mysterious~. But after a few episodes it really starts gelling and it's one of the most captivating shows I've seen in recent years. The acting from the main family unit (Noomi Rapace, Davina Coleman and James D'Arcy) is excellent and really works to draw you in and engage emotionally with these characters. I am really hoping for a second season, because there is so much potential here.
