Renowned for it's clever take on far future sci-fi this epic series is more like a concept album than anything. The book is a freaky time walk through the many centuries following the collapse of the galactic empire. If that's not enough for ya, I don't know what is.

This book is honestly in a different realm of sci-fi. It reads like an epic comedy, and somehow, a classic painting. Just so unique... Jee wiz indeed.

Pretty good book, vastly different and inferior precursor to Speaker for The Dead.

Jee wiz and slap me in the face if this book isn't one of the most staple sc-fi classics. An extremely engaging and clever tale of a hero's journey. The imagery alone makes it a worthwhile read for - I'm pretty sure - everyone. We don't like to talk about the sequels though...

One of the greats for sure. Nobody does relativity as smoothly as Haldeman. Good read for anybody who likes brutal space war, romance and social commentary.
