Ancient Love Poetry never gets old. I have watched it numerous time. It's so fun. The storyline is so beautiful, moving and beyond imagination. The acting, OST, costume and visual effect are epic. Most of all, Xu kai nailed the 3 roles in the drama. He had amazing chemistry with Dong xu. Their acting are captivating, making the audience feel being involved in their love story. Many people made comments before they finished watching the drama which is unfair. It's a drama severely under rated due to the prejudice toward the actress and the sick culture of promoting low body weight. Xu kai was a bit chubby in some scenes but he looked health and handsome. He effectively conveyed Bai Jue, Qing mu, his characters' complicated emotions. It's a masterpiece one cannot miss out.

Being a Xu kai fan, I've never been disappointment by watching a Xu kai drama. The story line is rather simple. However, Xu kai has marvellous spear fighting scenes and the costumes worn by him are splendid.

The actress has an irritating voice and poor acting skills which affected Xu kai's charm and the whole drama. She acted like an adult pretending to a baby or small child.
