One of the better games I’ve played over the last year. Haven explores a couples relationship quite well, you get to see both the good and bad side of things, even including little annoyances between couples and how the couple deals with them, sometimes cynical, sometimes sarcastic, and sometimes angry. It’s nice to see a more realistic portrayal of characters for a change. Outside of the relationship focus, an overall story-arc involving a planet, a government, and rebellion plays out that keeps you wondering what’s going to happen to our happy couple. The gameplay itself is well paced, functionality perfected, and has enough new game mechanics added to freshen it up as you continue the story. It does get kinda repetitive late in the game, and the loading between islands can be tedious at times. If I had one real complaint about the game it needs a much better mapping system, as I found myself backtracking multiple times to find the correct path. With all that said, this is one of the best games I’ve played over the pasted year, and would highly recommend it anyone. I stayed til the end and enjoyed it thoroughly.
