SPOiLERS ***
I was on board with this movie for about the first 45 minutes -- well, the very beginning was boring but we need a backstory, right? Anyway, we soon went off the rails once all believability exited the chat.
Appreciate that Kevin James and Joel McHale both wanted to venture into a different genre, but can any of us really see them as anything but comedic actors? And while on that subject, Wilson wasn't all that great of an actress especially when it came to emotional scenes. I didn't buy for a moment that she was even that distraught about her dad just being shot and killed right in front of her - oh, but they did include an exaggerated silent scream lol.
Things get a bit repetitive (she really killed four grown men... really?) and we never even find out why the key was so important. I guess it didn't matter though when the entire "thrill" of the film was just to show an angsty 13yo girl crushing heads.
