The ending alone is worth the price of admission! This was so ahead of it's time. It tackled subject matter that almost all over movies, regardless of genre, at that time (the early 80's) wouldn't even consider tackling. It deserves a lot of credit for that. It starts off making you assume it's just another little standard slasher film, but then all of a sudden it gives you a surprise sucker punch straight to the gut in the last few scenes that forever places this film as one of the all-time great cult classics in any genre for that matter. The final scene is truly one of the most - if not the most - shocking ending(s) in the history of not only Horror films but films in general. If you consider yourself a true Horror fan, you can't miss the uniquely brilliant Sleepaway Camp. Felissa Rose is wonderful as Angela. And it is definitely a plus that the sequels are very entertaining and are great slashers in their own right. Check out Bruce Springsteen's sister, Pamela in Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland.
