Firstly I am not an avid gamer, rather a middle aged guy bored during the COVID-19 lock down with an XBOX One to help pass the time.
All the 4 and 5 star reviews are justified and I whole heartily agree with. Beautiful graphics and music score, game play simple enough for even someone like me to pick up and work with (not overly complex like many other games I have attempted to play but gave up).
It kept me on the edge of my seat and my heart in my mouth, but the most striking thing about this game is how vulnerable you are made to feel. This has not been mentioned and is worth mentioning.
Playing as a 14/15 yo girl you feel the vulnerability she feels and as a 6'1 (183cm) heavily built martial arts trained guy it was an insightful, unique and at times a truly shocking and horrific experience that has given me a great deal more empathy and insight that I can use in my real world engagements and conversations.
