Honestly I feel that the majority of the people that don't like this movie either didn't watch it so meaning they didn't even give it a chance which gives a pretty good perspective about the ignorance in society at the moment or because they truly have a problem with the fact that a beautiful black woman is playing Ariel which can either be out of racism or stupidity or jealousy. However no matter what it is we have to admit those people are not reliable sources so if you're wondering if you should go watch it the answer is an obvious YES. I feel like this movie is a must watch whether you end up loving it or not because it is a movement towards more diversity in the acting industry thereby in society also Halle Bailey has talent, the talent being singing because she's been known as a singer with her sister foremost, and if your not a music person (aka singer, involved in choir/orchestra/band, voice coach, music teacher) then you are not allowed to give a reliable review on that (I am). In conclusion, I hope that you plan on giving this movie a chance or at least have enough intelligence to not criticized something you don't know.
