This movie was a complete miss
Don’t get me wrong, I love the animatronics, they were spot on and absolutely amazing,
10/10
I’ve been a fan for a while and watched the lore, been hyper fixated on it. I’ve watched markiplier and Coryxkenshin play it and all that good stuff. I’ve been waiting on this movie to come out forever.
This movie was a complete cash grab, nothing more to it.
The fact that the movie has 2/5 of the lore made absolutely no sense to me. When in the book/game did Micheal lose a brother? Why was the movie only about his trauma? How did he not know that his boss was his father? And how did his father die in his past but ended up being William Afton???
If anything, his trauma shoulda been about him losing his mother and his sister and the abuse from his father and him killing his own brother. The fact that there’s no timeline really sucks and again, didn’t make any sense. Why was the sister named Abby? You’d think she would be Elizabeth. I’m also not understanding when William became Venessa’s dad? If she knew that Mike was her brother why was she “flirting” with him and why didn’t she tell him? Why did she let him work there and not say nothing about the animatronics if she knew they were dangerous? And if anything, she coulda made them remember by drawing a picture and then they woulda killed William.
The spring lock scene was the worst. Why wasn’t it the entire suit and why did it do it one lock at a time? Where was the agony and the screaming? Even if it was just the chest, it would’ve been extremely painful. And also from the very beginning you could simply tell that his boss was Willam Afton.
Just the entire story sucked, didn’t stick with any script, neither the game nor the books, so what was the point if they weren’t gonna stick by any script? The movie shoulda been about when William and Henry met and bought the place and when he murdered the children and when Michael killed his brother and when his father gets spring locked. In the second movie Micheal would be the security guard in sister location and met his father again, leaving him to burn after catching the place on fire.
I wish we could’ve gave this movie to the fans and had them make the script for the first movie, I bet it would’ve been a 10/10. I love movies that were made because of the book but they’re constantly missing incredibly important parts in the books/games that just make the movie terrible. What’s going through the director’s head when making the script after reading the book? I don’t understand why they can’t make it the same or at least similar because it’s usually very detailed so getting 4/5 wrong about the book is odd. If you’re going to miss the entire plot then don’t make a movie about a franchise that’s been an ongoing thing for over 9 years.
