I absolutely hated this film...Especially being a fan of Kauffman films. It was slow, boring, depressing, heavy duty, and I got absolutely nothing out of it. There were clearly some intelligent undertones but nothing enjoyable or interesting about it whatsoever, just long and depressing with some dreadful ageing makeup and musical at the end. Not worth your time. I kept waiting for it to redeem itself but it only got worse. Very disappointed. The critics who want to laud this as genius are clearly forgetting to take in to account whether it’s actually watchable
