I wanted to love this because who doesn't love Agatha Christie. I am sorely disappointed. SMH. All the finesse and nuance are lacking or completely missing. It is blatantly obvious what the narrative was supposed to be here.... It was completely unnecessary. If you are going to attempt a classic, do it justice by sticking true to the story the author created, instead of your feelings, your history and your take on it, because honestly I don't care when your family came over, I don't care what time frame you chose to set it in....seriously you have cars from the 30s, Dean Martin records, and attire from the 50s and possibly 60s and throwback references to plantation life which is nonsensical since some of the characters created are supposed to be immigrants from Nigeria. Make it make sense. This is a poor, poor woke virtue signal that is severely lacking.
