Froms biggest issue is its insane amount of fillers. I'm on the second season right now, binged the first at an unhealthy speed, so I was able to pick up on it a lot. But in every 50 minute episode, ~30 of those minutes are spent having the characters go through this loop of "We need to get out of here", "no we can't get out of here your crazy", "then do you just want to die here?", "fine lets try and get out of here". Holy brainrot. In the entirety of season 1, 10 hours of content, we've so far learned this about the creatures: 1- they only come out at night, 2- the talisman protects you but not sure why, 3- immune to guns, 4- only walk, never run. Season 1 and 2 could easily have been mushed into one season, and still keep some of the stupid dialogue.
The premise of the show is interesting, the gore is unique and the characters are cool. But the constant filler dialogue and repetitive decision making loops are becoming unbearable and is making the show hard to watch.
a good example is when they show the sheriffs backstory (Boyd) just so they can use his wife as a jumpscare later, and that's it, no more wife references. The reviews for this show really overhype it.
Overall, the show is ok, but the dialogue really kills it. I've been skipping the dialogue and only watching the actual content of the show, I've missed nothing but stupid back and forths between characters, and I still understand everything.
