It went from IT'S FINALLY HERE!! to what is this rubbish? If we are to act like the movies didn't exist what are we to do about the series? My biggest bone to pick is what the hell did you do to Sally Jackson?! I can't even as a reader connect to the characters due to the actor's acting? Idek what it was... They tried to stick to the og books then good stick to the books. What's the point if you're just going skip the important parts though? This series was supposed to be a masterpiece but nah the first two episodes were just pure torture. Anticipation dead. Connection dead. Fascination dead. Obsession dead. Honestly I am heartbroken over it. Perhaps it is better for books to not get adapted into movies or series. They're gonna ruin it. Period.
