I don’t know why the drama wasn’t well received, honestly it’s such a gem! Yes it’s slow, but it’s very real. You relate with them and enjoy the journey! The scripting and dialogues are so meaningful that you pause to reflect on it long after the show is over! All the characters have been so well charted that they grow on you, there is no unnecessary manipulation/drama by villains or second leads! It’s real, it’s subtle and so well shot! There are super cute romance scenes from Lee Jong Suk towards the second half of the show that it’s totally worth the wait :D The show overall resonates with one of their very own dialogues! This may not be a classic best seller, but it will surely be a steady seller for whoever decides to open themselves upto the characters in this show and enjoy the journey! It will definitely leave you feeling warm ❤️

Most shows tend to show love and romance in the last few episodes and wrap up the story! But Something in the Rain was different! All flavours and shades of love are so beautifully portrayed in the series right from the first episode! It may seem like a simple plot about an older woman and a younger man, but there’s so much more! The way the characters grow with the love for each other, stand up to the taboos around them and just hang on to each other to keep it going! I felt like I was experiencing the sweet charms of romance along with them. There’s something so raw and fresh about their chemistry. Only qualm (spoiler alert) would be the ending could have been longer and gave more context to their love story! Seeing them love each other so much throughout the show and suddenly have them fighting with each other was heartbraking. But I still appreciate it, because ultimately life is like that I guess. It’s super realistic and would definitely recommend! Jun hui character truly stole my heart!
