Brilliant book, or should I say 2 books. If you want a warts and all western, these two are for you. No glossing over the hardships and suffering of the people who endured and survived. If you come across a rare copy, snap it up, it is a keeper. Or if you have a Kindle, Amazon do a kindle version for around £7.00. You won't be disappointed. This is a read again in about a year book, and again and again.
