I love Chalk FarM's "Notwithstanding" CD. Hate to compare any band to others but the groove sound & feel might remind some of alt-rock-pop type music of classic Toad The Wet Sprocket, Live, Matchbox 20 and/or Gin Blossoms. Chalk FarM songs contain lyrics most can identify that are combined with melodies that are easy to remember/hard to forget. While listening, if you don't get up and start dancing a bit (or at least tap your toe along with the beat) you're most likely deaf or dead. If this was a vinyl record, I would have worn this album out many years ago from playing it so many times. I've never seen Chalk FarM perform live but if they ever came to Charlotte, NC, I'd buy tickets the minute they went on sale.
