That was one of the WORST movies I’ve ever seen, and definitely the worst movie in the Predator series. Boyd Holbrook tries so hard to be cool, and fails miserably. His cool lines aren’t, to where I cringed at what came out of his mouth. And they took all of the mystery, the menace, and the unpredictability out of the main Predator character. He was always walking around in plain view, rarely invisible, which should have been his main dynamic. The introduction of the predator dogs was ridiculous. And then, when the Predator started talking through the translator—he suddenly became just some guy who talked too much. The only reason I watched it to the end was because I paid for the rental. By the end, I just wanted everyone to be dead! Ruined everything that made the preceding films so great.
