Hot hot garbage. I'm a halo fan. This show had such promise. The CGI is great. The practical props, costumes, vehicles, etc — awesome. The writing? HOT. GARBAGE. Cortana injected into Master Chief's brain? Shutting him down (physically incapacitating him) because he's not following orders? Some random unimportant Korean girl with a "criminally-insane bowl cut" side plot every episode? Middle management chain of command Indian lady in robes drama? Human child kidnapped by the Covenant at a young age gets an energy sword fingernail? WHO WROTE THIS? Who accepted this? The executive team who approved this should be ashamed. Cortana telling Master Chief which weapons to use and he responds "I know how the game is played, Cortana." Holy hell this writing is hot garbage. Master Chief and the other Spartans taking their helmets off all the time, ok, I can get over that. I have come to appreciate Pablo Schreiber in the role of Master Chief, even. The only issue with Pablo is that he's speaking the words that an incompetent writing team put down in the script. Then the producers and directors didn't question any of these crazy things and whether it would lead people to continue to want to be subscribed to yet another streaming service. Episode 5 was my last ditch on this show -- I'm cancelling Paramount+. A single good halo show would have brought me on and retained me as a new customer for this service, but the writing on this show is terrible. Someone stop this trainwreck.
