I tried to like this, but it was so bad lmao. Comical in some parts at best. Definitely could’ve waited for it to stream, and will probably never watch again. Was honestly just stupid and all over the place.

I can’t believe this got rated so bad! The people rating one star have obviously never watched a good thriller. I loved it! Constantly on the edge of your seat wondering how he’ll get out of certain situations, and there were a good bit of plot twists too. The acting was great! They did a good job showing the killer go from a normal acting dad to progressively seeming more like a psychopath. 5 stars! Would 100% recommend watching!

I tried so hard to like this, but it was just bad. Not a good storyline at all. None of the characters acted like their original characters at all. It’s as if I was watching new people. I wanted to feel that nostalgic feeling so much, but this movie did not do that.

This movie had a good storyline once they explained it at the very end. But up until that point, it’s like watching a movie with completely random images. I had no idea what was going on the entire time. Even after the explanation, some things still don’t feel explained. There were some creepy aspects, but also was very slow and hard to keep watching at times. Overall, ehh. I probably wouldn’t watch again

Ehh, would say to wait for it to come out on dvd/on demand. I thought the 2013 remake was SUPER good and scary so I had very high hopes for this from the trailers. Left the theater pretty disappointed. While there were lots of Easter eggs and references to the originals, that’s really the only thing I appreciated about this movie. Way too much time spent into making it look as gory as they could rather than make it an actual good storyline. Setting in one building was a little weird and not very scary. Acting was meh, but the family seemed so unconnected to one another that it wasn’t believable they were a family at all. No emotion whatsoever about their mom being dead/possessed. Just could’ve been so much better, but I think the ball was dropped on this one.
