I love and still love this film. Not only is the cast unforgettable, but so is the setting. And it is a story of resistance against Nazi Germany by an Austrian family that escapes from Hitler's pure evil and comes to America for a new life in a democracy. No matter how may times I see The Sound of Music, I think of Anne Frank's comment , "no matter what, I still believe that people are good at heart."
